Arcachon is the main town on the Bassin d’Arcachon, a bay of the Atlantic Ocean that attracts many visitors from Bordeaux. Less than 60 km separates the capital of the Southwest from Arcachon and its beautiful villas, clear blue beaches and delicious seafood. This is also one of the main osticulture (oysters farming) centers of France so eating oysters is a “must” when coming to the area.

Arcachon is one of the most popular sea resorts in France and in the summer, it’s flooded with tourists and locals alike. The best time to go there is either May-June or September.

How to come to Arcachon:

I) By plane to Paris airport Charles De Gaulle. From the airport, trains bridge Bordeaux (~60 km far from Arcachon) and Arcachon.
II) By plane to the international Bordeaux/Merignac airport (~60 km far from Arcachon). From the airport, shuttles bridge the Bordeaux train station to come to Arcachon.

The conference will provide shuttles from the Bordeaux/Merignac airport and Bordeaux train station to Arcachon on Sunday 6 September 2020 afternoon. Shuttles to come back from Arcachon to Bordeaux/Merignac airport and Bordeaux train station will be available on Friday 11 September 2020 afternoon.
